The Habs
The next issue is Goaltending. Carey Price is amazing. He is the future of the Habs and maybe the best goalie prospect of all time. These playoffs he has not been consistant, he was amazing in 4 games against the bruins and he was less than stellar the other 3. Last night he was absolutely disgusting. That shorthanded goal was dispicable and even the other two were weak. We really need for him to show up tommorow night because when he is on his game we win plain and simple. I for one think it would be a shame if Halak started, not be cause Price has sucked, but because Price needs his confidence up and he is the reason we have made it this far to doubt him now is exactly what he doesnt need it could ruin him. See. Raycroft for the leafs (amazing now he sucks). We need to Start Carey and give him some defense and get the early lead which is key.
By the way next year gives me the shivers especially if we could lure a sniper to replace Ryder that could score 30 goals a season.
Go Habs, in no time they will have me singing OLE OLE and P.S if we make it o the finals me and my buds are driving up to Montreal to party and watch the games (In a bar because i would have to sell my kidneys to get tickets) and hopefully we could join in the rioting when they win.

The HabsYour post was well thought out except for the Price bit. How does that trade involving Huet look now? Also, regular season against the Flyers was only 4 games, not 8. While Price may have had a great rookie season, labeling him as the best prospect of all time? Just off the top of my head Pelle Lindbergh was a far superior prospect. Anyhow, my thoughts on him. I never like to use the word choke and I won't here. He definitely has lost his confidence. I would have made the move in game 3 also, in fact we were disscussing it during intermission. I don't know anything about his personality or how will handle it. But I definitely start him in Game 4, Halak is not the Habs answer. (Besides, Richards is likely to whack him again) I'm taking the comment about the rioting with a bit of sarcasm, yes? The fans up there have embarrassed themselves enough already, with the fires, Booing our anthem and Briere. The beer on Richards. My God if that took place here in Philly It would have been all over CNN. But hey you've got 2 games to play before you hit the greens. Enjoy them. |

The HabsI dont think i agree with ya on your comment on how your much better then the flyers , but i will agree and say the habs dont have any hart .(lol). They do have a very nice sqaud but could use a couple of good players with some grit and they should be fine . I really love Carrey price , i think he is awsome and will be for many years , hes only 20 right, hes great at floping to draw calls from the ref. whitch is always good. But let me ask you something , is his catching hand bothering him because he had a solid glove hand all year and now in the playoffs its looking a little suspect. But like i said you only need a few more peices and then your solid gold for years to come , i have alot of respect for the habs and am glad to see they are finnaly comming around and making alot of noise , Sorry bro but GO FLYERS>>>>>>>JUST WIN BABY |

The HabsYes it is an old lesson that so many GM;s never seem to get. Ths habs need more grit and better shut down D. Price is not ready yet. Good play off teams can hang on to one goal leads. However, you are also overating the habs as well I think. You could argue they have as much balance as anyone in the East but then there are several teams out West that are better. I am hoping that management take this for the lessons they can learn. They may still pull of a defeat against Philly but that will be the end of the road for this year. To win in the playoffs you usually have to knock down your first couple of series with soime ease. Look at what Detroit, Dallas and Pittsburgh are doing.

The HabsI like the way you think Mancini. The habs just have to play their game and they should be able to square it up. The thing I fear most is Price. I would feel more secure with Halak in goal. Even in the interview, Price seemed very nervous. But the habs have to skate full speed and make sure they play well in their own zone. Be patient and take the chances that are given them. The habs are more skillful than the flyers and the habs will probably get more power play ops. But we cannot be loose in our own end. I am pumped for this and feel very worried, but that is what makes for good hockey. The habs showed in game seven what they can do when there backs are up against the wall, well tonight theire backs are against the wall. But the Flyers have more scorring skill than Boston. |
